90 Minute Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a safe and relaxing experience for both mother and baby. Whether you or your loved one is soon to become a mother, we at Back to Basics treasure this special experience and ensure all expectant mothers have their needs looked after. We understand that during pregnancy the woman’s body goes through a lot of changes and it can become quite overwhelming dealing with them all.  Muscles get tight, causing issues such as lower back pain or sciatica, organs get compressed, there are many hormonal changes and there is also a tendency to move less which in turn decreases blood flow. Why Pregnancy Massage? Pregnancy Massage will assist in maintaining a healthy pregnancy by improving joint mobility and decreasing pain. It will improve blood flow and dissolve knots causing tension, headache, sciatica or other imbalances. How is the Pregnancy Massage performed? Our very experienced Massage Therapist’s at Back to Basics use a special pregnancy cushion to fit the belly safely and comfortably allowing expectant mothers to lie face down. Gentle, relaxing and remedial techniques are combined into a 1 hour treatment which will be tailored to the mother to be’s needs. The treatment is completed with a relaxing and nurturing head massage. This will allow the expectant mother to let go of all her stress and tension and just connect with her baby.
